Rules for All Sections in Home Industries Marquee

  1. Closing time for receipt of exhibits is 10.00 a.m. sharp. No late exhibits accepted.
  2. All exhibits should be handed in by the exhibitor (not by a representative). Same rule applies to the collection of prize money.
  3. Winning exhibits from previous years’ shows will not be accepted.
  4. Strictly no exhibits shall be removed from the tent before 4.00 p.m.
  5. Prize money will be paid out after 4.00 p.m. on production of exhibit card & prize ticket.
  6. All prize money must be collected on show day. (Claims will NOT be dealt with after show day).
  7. All exhibits are displayed at exhibitor’s own risk.
  8. Exhibitors wishing to sell produce should ensure they have “For Sale” tickets (available from Secretariat).

Class 98: 2 Swedes
Class 99: 3 Beetroot
Class 100: 2 Heads of cabbage (any variety)
Class 101: 6 Pods of garden peas
Class 102: Best home-grown tomatoes on the vine, any size
Class 103: Best 3 cooking apples – 1 variety named
Class 104: Best 3 eating/dessert apples – 1 variety named
Class 105: Best collection of garden herbs – 4–8 varieties in a window box or similar container
Class 106: Collection of vegetables – 4 to 8 varieties (excluding potatoes). Home produced. No more than 3 samples per variety. Box max size: 2’ x 2’
Class 107: Best 3 of any home-grown vegetables not included above
Class 108: 3 Black turf (no decoration)
Class 109: 3 Brown turf (no decoration)

Class 110: Best 6 brown or tinted eggs

Flower Arranging Section

Class 113: Best foliage pot plant
Class 114: Best flowering pot plant (excluding geranium or pelargonium)
Class 115: Best geranium or pelargonium in a pot
Class 116: Best single rose in a container/pot
Class 117: Best 3 blooms of roses
Class 118: Best bunch of cut flowers in a vase
Class 119: Best orchids in a pot/container
Class 120: 5 Dahlia blooms, any variety (can be mixed)
Class 121: Best miniature garden on a tray
Class 122: Best hanging basket
Class 123: Best wildflower arrangement – children 12 years and under
Class 124: Best wildflower arrangement – children 13 to 17 years
Class 125: Best collection of leaves – children 12 years and under
Class 126: Best vase arrangement using fruit

Lego Section

Prizes: 1st €10, 2nd €7, 3rd €5. Entry Fee: Children €3

Class 127: Best Lego creation of any choice – 6 years and under (must be your own creation, not from a box set)
Class 128: Best Lego creation – age 7 to 10 years (must be your own creation, not from a box set)
Class 129: Best Lego creation – age 11 to 14 years (must be your own creation, not from a box set)
Class 130: Best Lego creation – age 15 to 18 years (must be your own creation, not from a box set)
